Man of Thousand Words

Man of Thousand Words

Long time ago, there lived a wanderer who loved talking very much. One day, he made a trip that forced him to pass through a deserted forest which was rarely crossed by people. As he was walking in the middle of the forest, suddenly he heard a voice. He was so scared and shocked, but at the same time curious as well. “Whose voice could it be in the middle of such an empty forest?” he whispered to himself. And then, carefully he went to search the source of the voice. Finally, he found that it came from skeleton piled up under a big tree. He was really shocked ever.

In disbelief, he encouraged himself to approach upfront and asked, “Hi skeleton… How could you end up in this middle of the forest?” beyond expectation, this skeleton answered, “Hi wanderer, the thing that brought me into this forest is a talkative mouth.” Knowing that the skeleton could actually hear and answer, he became so amused and kept on chatting about all stuff. He felt that he had found a miracle.

When he finally finished his trip, he couldn’t help but to keep on thinking about his ‘findings’. With full spirit, he started to tell everyone that he met about his finding, he talking skeleton. And of course no one believed him. Some even mocked him, “you crazy man! There is no such thing as a talking skeleton!”. Despite the fact that no one believed his story, he just couldn’t stoop himself from talking about it and telling everyone that he met about the talking skeleton.

Finally, the story found its way to the palace. In short, the king summoned the wanderer to appear before him and tell him about it. The wanderer started telling the king about his ‘talking skeleton’ “Your Highness, I found a talking skeleton. Perhaps Your Highness would like to inquire about the future of this kingdom to him.” Being curious the king asked some of his ministers and guards to go to the forest together by the guidance of the wanderer.

Upon arriving, with all confidence, the wanderer asked the skeleton, “Hi skeleton, how did you end up into this forest?” This time, no sound came out. The king and all the guards started to get agitated. When the wanderer kept on repeating the same question with louder voice, the skeleton kept silent. All that was heard was the wind blowing and the echo of the wanderer’s voice.

Seeing this, the guards looked at the king with such mocking expression on their face. Feeling being fooled, the king went mad. He looked at the wanderer and said, “Actually I don’t believe a word you say. You really take me as a fool, thinking that such a stupid king. I come here just to reveal your lies. And as a punishment for giving me such a big lie, you have to take the responsibility and pay the price!”

The immediately ordered his guard to chop off the wanderer’s head. Afterwards, they put the wanderer’s skeleton next to the original skeleton. As soon as the king left the palace, suddenly the skeleton said, “the thing that brought me into the forest is a talkative mouth.”

Most often, fights, misunderstandings, and hostilities are created due to the unfit spoken words. Those who like to spread words, most often become less careful and so they cause lots of hurt or even spite and grudge. And though sometimes it seems light, it can be fatal. It will be such a good thing, if at all times we can control ourself, knowing when and why we have to speak up. Actually, being silent can also be the wisest attitude, like the old saying, “Silent is golden”.

Misunderstanding and aversion arise due to improper comments. Being able to control oneself, knowing when to be quiet and when to talk is a wise attitude.”

The Power Of Love

The Power Of Love

As the story goes, a young beautiful woman was just married a man she loved dearly. After the marriage, this woman lived together with her mother-in-law. Then, there were so many mishaps and unfitting behaviors and views between the two ladies in the house. The mother-in-law some how always managed to find flaws in almost everything that her daughter-in-law did. Sharp comments, criticisms and all sorts pf sarcasms were constantly flowing everyday. Unfortunately, the husband could not do much to improve the situation.

The daughter-in-law seemed unable to sustain her anger anymore. Day to day, taking revenge was poisoning her mind and thoughts. And thus she went to look for his father’s best friend who was a medicine seller. She told him all about her sadness and grieves in tears, “and that’s why uncle you have to help me in this case, please prescribe a strong dose of poison so that I can have my revenge towards my mother-in-law. “after a careful thinking, finally the uncle smiled wisely and answered, : I will give you the poisonous powder under one condition that you will do exactly as u say.” The woman agreed.

And then the uncle gave her a full pocket of powder. ”my dear, to get rid of your mother-in-law, don’t use a quick reactive poison. People around you will be very suspicious of her sudden dying. They will directly be able to point their fingers to you. Therefore, I am giving you a slow reactive your mom’s meals. And remember, you have to cook the meal yourself.” Said the medicine seller.

Before she left, the medicine seller added up, “just to make sure that people will not be suspicious later on, you need to treat your mother-in-law better in days to come, by doing so people will not raise any questions about her death. Treat her with love, respect and show your big heart by not arguing, just giving in to her. Treat your mother-in-law as if she were your own mother.”

With such a happier light heart, the woman went home, she obeyed and did whatever the uncle said. Everyday, she spoilt her mother-in-law by cooking all her favorite dishes and served her with all respect and compassion. Without realizing four months had passed, and a big change took place. Being treated with such respect and affection, the mother-in-law was touched and changed her behavior to wards her. Things turned around, she started to treat her daughter-in-law as her own one and loved her more and more each day. In the presence of her friends, she complimented and spoke highly of her daughter-in-law’s nobility and compassion.

Seeing the changes in her mother-in-law’s, abruptly the daughter rushed to see the uncle. “pleas uncle, give the antidote to the poison that you gave me sometime ago. After doing what you told me, now my mother-in-law has treated me so well and full of love. I also start loving her, I don’t want her die from the poison that I gave her everyday.”

The uncle just smiled and answered, “My dear, don’t worry. The powder that I gave you was not poison at all. It actually was tonic to enhance body strength instead.” She was dumb founded. “So the real poison actually us what dwells in your head, your attitudes towards your mother-in-law. And now all of those poisons have been wiped away by love and affection that a you have showered her.”

The story above has taught us of how incredible the Power Of Love or the power of affection and tender loving care can be. Love and affection bring about care, sincerity, and willingness to sacrifice for the greater good. Love and affection can release us from the strong grip of misunderstanding, bring down the wall of coldness, soften the stubbornness and mellow down hatreds. Love and affection invite peace and bring differences into a good harmony. If all of us are willing to give love and affection towards people around us day by day, then life is worth living for.

“Love and attention is power!

If all of us are willing to share love and attention towards people around us, then life will be happier and more meaningful.”

I am The Tiger

One day in the middle of a forest, a tiger died after giving birth to her baby. Not long after that, a crowd of sheep passed by. The sheep’s mother stopped by and looked at the helpless tiger baby. Having looked at the poor condition, the inner heart of the sheep called to protect him. Then she approached the newborn tiger and hugged it. Feeling the warmth and protection given by the sheep, the little tiger followed wherever she went.

In the next days, the little tiger lived together with all the sheep. Every single day he was breast fed by the sheep mother, played with the other sheep, at and drank like a sheep. Even the little tiger spoke like a sheep and he felt he was of the sheep.

One day somewhere, unexpectedly this crowd of sheep suddenly scattered into small groups running around. What was going on? Apparently, they were scared and felt threatened since there was a big starving tiger was running into their direction. Each and every single sheep was trying to save himself, including this little tiger. Seeing that there was one small tiger among the group, the hunting tiger was astonished. The big tiger roared loudly and shouted to the little tiger, :hey, you little tiger…stop running…why are you running? Don’t run!!! stop!!!”.

And yet this little tiger disobeyed the instruction and keep on running away following the rest of the group. The big hunting tiger ran towards the little tiger and finally successfully caught him. “Why are you running with them? You are not sheep! You are a tiger…just like me!” Said the big tiger. “No way, I am not a tiger…I am just a lamb…just like them…!” The little tiger shouted and shrank himself to escape. He was struggling hard to free from his grip.

The hunting tiger just could not believe what he just heard. The little tiger seemed to have a little problem accepting who he really was. And to prove his words he brought the little tiger onto a clear pond, forced him to look into the water. Soon as he saw his own reflection, he was really stunned. “Wow…I am the tiger…I am a tiger, I am not a sheep…” He whispered to himself.

Soon after he realized the truth, his basic animal instinct revived. He turned his head around and like at the hunting tiger roaring loud pronouncing his satisfaction and victory. The little tiger as the started to imitate the big hunting tiger’s attitude. Filled with all confidence and pride he roared endlessly…pronouncing, “I am a tiger….I am a tiger…I am not a sheep…I am the king of the jungle… I am the ruler of the jungle!!”

The valuable message from the above story is that: in undergoing our if, most of the time we work without great spirit, all done as usual. The disability to know our real inner selves results in disability to develop the best potencies we have, unable to set the target and purposes of life. And even if we do have dreams, without knowing our true self all those dreams woll only live shortly. Struggling without knowing our own true self an without having confidence is a struggle without destination and therefore it will be easily swayed by temptations and hindrances.

Know your true self through the potencies that are inherent in each of us.

Have courage to set down your goals.

Have faith and confidence that you can be successful!

Just like the little tiger that finally finds his true essence.

Have courage to fight and realize yours!

You can become the person you want to be !!!

The King's Dream

Once upon a time, a king woke up all of a sudden in the middle of his sleep. he had such a nightmare and puzzling dream. trying to catch his breath, the king yelled to one of his guards, "Guard, get me one of the kingdom's fortune tellers...quickly...!" The guard ran as fast as he could to fetch one of the fortune tellers without being brave enough to ask the king which one to call in.

Not long after, a fortune teller arrived. The king immediately told him about his dream and asked the fortune teller to tell him what it meant. “I had such a weird dream. In that dream I lost al my teeth. Huh…what kind of premonition is this? Can tell me?” after a careful almanac consulting the fortune teller sadly said to the king, “I beg you for your mercy Your Highness…From my observation, I can only say that the dream represents bad things will happen. One tooth represents one death, Your Highness. All losing teeth means the whole family will perish.”

Like stricken by thunder,, the king immediately got very angry. The bad news that the fortune teller said made him really furious. The king at once ordered a sentence of 20 times whip to be given to be given to this fortune teller. Even so the king’s curiosity did not go away. He was still very unsatisfied and very unhappy. And thus he instructed his guard to once again call up another fortune teller. Very soon a new fortune teller came by.

At this time, after listening to the story, the fortune teller with a smile said, “Your Highness…from what I can see, the dream is saying that indeed Your Highness is the luckiest person in the whole world. You will live longer than the rest if the other family members.” Having heard this explanation, a bright smile cracked in the king’s face. He was so delighted to hear it, “You are such a great fortune teller. As a reward I will give you 5 gold coins.”

After the departure of that second fortune teller, the king asked his prime minister about the quality and accuracy of both fortune tellers. The prime minister who had witnessed all events with honesty and bravery said, “My Lord…the first fortune teller spoke of the deaths of all Your Highness kins. While the second fortune teller said that Your Highness will live longer than the rest of the noble kins. According to both explanations your humble servant can only say that both opinions are just the same. Which is all Your Highness next kins will pass away first before Your Highness. “The king was listening to the explanation carefully. “and therefore actually, both fortune tellers had the same quality. What differentiates is that the way they express their thoughts. The first fortune teller expressed his min straight forward without considering the side effects. While the second one was carefully and cleverly explained his thoughts and thus Your Highness could accept his explanation better and then gave him a reward.”

The Power of Habits

The Power of Habits

It was told that ages ago in China, there lived a very smart and brave soldier who was very well-known for his expertise in archery. One day he had a plan to show his ability and thus he ordered 100 arrows to be prepared together with all the necessary equipments. After all things set up he walked into the arena with such a high self confidence. The target board was placed and after taking his po¬sition he started to shoot onto the target, again and again, none of his arrows ever missed the target. Everyone in the field was cheering and giving him big thumps up.

Remarkable !!! , 100 arrows released, 100 arrows hit the target. With such a glowing face and tull of pride the soldier said, "People... look at your soldier hew At this moment, my archery skill is the best all over the country. I don't believe anyone can beat me at this. What do you all think..." everyone just cheered upon hearing thin,
"Marvelous Marvelous " However, among all the roaring and cheer, an old man appeared and shouted out loud, "You are indeed remarkable! However, your mastery is just the result of an endlessly repeated small actions!"

The field was silent. All eyes and attention were di¬rected to this old man. This old oil-selling man knew that his comment brought up unfriendly air, "Hold on a second..." he %aid, and then he raised from his seat, took an old coin that had a hole in the middle, a bottle and put the coin above the bottle. The next thing, with all confidence he started to fill the bottle through that small little hole in that coin. He kept on doing it. And not long after, the bottle was fully filled. The amazing part was that there was no any drop of the oil whatsever touched the coin. Oil was perfectly poured into the bottle through that single small hole. The soldier and everyone present were really amazed and then roared heavily, "Remarkable... remarkable... remarkable...!"

Low-heartedly, the old man just bowed his head and paid his respect to the soldier saying, “Repeated actions create mastery". The soldier finally understood the point and in return bowed his head in respect in the old man.

From the story above , we can take one very meaningful lesson; habit is power. That means, the more diligently we do something, the more often we repeat an action, our mastery and ability towards that specific action are to be. If we turn that into habit, and along the process we have the effort to enhance quality of the performance, we can be sure that our skill will also be perfected. At the end, things which look difficult in the beginning because we are not used to doing it, finally will become something easy and sometimes even turn out to work out automatically. Others who are not used to doing it will think that this kind of mastery results from repeated habits is something special.

In terms of improving ourselves, we need what we call “success character”. And this kind of character can only be achieved through positive habits such as: positive thinking, enthusiasm, optimism, discipline, responsibility, trustworthy, etc. which are maintained from time to time and improved continuously.

Let's make sure to keep on practicing, maintaining, and constructively developing our positive success habits and acting accordingly, so that our success character will drive us to our glorious victory of life।

"A well-trained habit will
mastery! Let's, keep maintaining
and improving the habit of
success thinking!
Having success attitude!
So that all will win the success
character which wills drive its
to the top of success.

Do Not Fear - Do Not Regret

Do Not Fear

Do Not Regret

Once upon a time, in a remote village, lived a young man who had a wish to travel down town to have a better life. Upon leaving, he encountered fear, worry, and doubt. To encourage his intention to leave the village, he went to see one of the elderly figures in the village, both to say goodbye and seek for guidance. Having heard his intention, the elderly happily said, "My son, this life's secret only consists of six words. And today I will only give you half of them." And then he wrote down three words, DO NOT FEAR.

Time passed quickly, 30 years had passed. The young man had come down with the ups and downs of life. By having these 3 wise words "DO NOT FEAR ", he faced all chances as well as challenges bravely. Through that kind of magnificent mentality, he did change his destiny. Then he turned into one of the most successful and honorable citizens in the country.

Yet, with all the success he already had, he still felt there was something imperfect and he came down to regret why he could not solve it. He tried hard to work it out, but his mind got even more messed up and unfocused. In the doubtful condition, he remembered the elderly who had given him the three wise words. "Didn't he still have the rest of the three words that he promised to give out to me?"

And then he decided to go back to his village to see the elderly man to ask for the remaining three words. Unfortunately, as he got there he found the wise man had passed away. However, there was a letter addressed to him. Apparently the old man had predicted that one day he would come back. He ripped the letter as fast as he could and there were the rest of the three words that he was looking for is DO NOT REGRET.

As soon as he saw those words, spontaneously all the regrets that had been hovering him disappeared. He felt very relieved and happy immediately. Wise readers.

What powerful and meaningful six words we ever have, DO NOT FEAR and DO NOT REGRET. Without any exclusion, all of us, you and I, need these six wise words. If we wish to create a better life, change our hopes into realities, we need the first three words, do not fear. They carry motivational spirit that can energize us to act, no fear to have a high dream, no fear to try and start! No fear to have challenges!! No fear to work hard! No fear to bear a big responsibility !!!

There are times when our hard effort does not meet our hopes. Obstacles and hindrances at times look as if they were created to block our way. And our struggle can just come to a total failure. This can make us feel as if we were covered by unhappiness, disappointment and regret. At that kind of stage, the next three wise words, do not regret, can be the key to lift up our spirit again. Throw away negative thoughts. Regret will not change anything, on the contrary, it will only burden and block our steps forward.

Being able to accept the results of our struggles as they are is wise, but willing to bounce from our condition today is incredible!!! As long as we have fought and contributed our very best with all we have within, no matter what the result is, the most important thing is the fact that the spirit to fight and struggle itself has its own success values

DO NOT FEAR DO NOT REGRETS

"Don't be afraid to try!

Don't be afraid to start!

if you have fought your best,

whatever the result is,

the Fighting spirit myself

has the success value in it !

Never regret !
